COVID-19 UPDATE: LIFE SCIENCES INDUSTRY JOINT STATEMENT OF INTENT

We are pleased to share with you a joint statement of intent from the Associations who represent the UK’s life sciences industry. This outlines our sector’s commitment to fighting COVID-19 and supporting NHS patients across the UK.
Backed by ABHI, ABPI, BGMA, BIA and BIVDA, it sets out how we aim to collectively play as big a role as possible in tackling COVD-19, through:
• The search for effective diagnostics and treatments
• Ensuring the continued supply of health technologies and medicines to patients
• Providing appropriate support to the NHS from a highly skilled workforce.
ABHI Chair, Phil Kennedy, commented: "I am very proud of the part ABHI has played in the coming together of colleagues across the Life Sciences sector to support the national effort. This 'statement of intent' is just one tangible output of that work and I commend it to you."
