We are thrilled to introduce Lauren Hayes as the latest addition to ABHI’s growing international team. With a wealth of experience in international business and healthcare, Lauren will play a pivotal role in supporting UK HealthTech companies as they navigate global opportunities. Most notably, she will be managing the ABHI UK Pavilion at the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), one of the largest and most influential healthcare exhibitions in the APAC region.

Lauren holds a degree in International Business with Spanish from Queen’s University Belfast, a foundation that was further strengthened by a Professional Development year in Madrid. This experience provided her with key language skills and the ability to foster international relationships, setting the stage for a successful career in global market expansion. She then joined a UK HealthTech manufacturer, specialising in ostomy, respiratory, and surgery products.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren gained invaluable insights into the dynamics between healthcare providers and patients through hands-on experience in healthcare settings. This gave her a deeper understanding of how healthcare systems operate and how industry products are integrated into everyday care, shaping her ability to connect UK HealthTech innovators with meaningful international opportunities.

Lauren has extensive experience in leading global business growth, establishing strong international partnerships, and managing cross-border sales strategies. She has travelled to key markets, including South Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan, working closely with manufacturers and distributors to understand the healthcare landscape and regulatory environments in these regions.

Now, as part of ABHI’s international team, Lauren’s unique expertise allows her to provide tailored support to UK HealthTech companies, helping them overcome challenges and seize opportunities in new markets. Her background, particularly her hands-on experience in manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and supply chain management, equips her with a practical understanding of the needs and complexities our companies face.
