The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) is pleased to announce significant developments in its international team as part of ongoing efforts to bolster support for UK businesses navigating global markets.

Throughout the summer, ABHI has worked diligently to expand and refine its export services, positioning the Association to better assist companies in seizing international opportunities. As part of this strategic enhancement, ABHI is delighted to welcome several key additions to its international team:

  • Suzie Ali-Hassan has been appointed as ABHI’s new International Business Director. In this role, Suzie will oversee the launch of a new Middle East Accelerator programme and will support the ongoing expansion of the US Accelerator programme. Suzie brings extensive experience in life sciences and international healthcare ecosystems, which will be invaluable in driving the success of these initiatives and adding value to the international activities of UK businesses.
  • Sophie Green joins ABHI with a dedicated focus on managing the US Accelerator programme. Sophie’s role will be crucial in ensuring that ABHI continues to provide the comprehensive support necessary for UK companies to thrive in the world’s largest HealthTech market.
  • Additionally, Lauren Hayes has been appointed to manage ABHI’s exhibition activities, a role that includes overseeing ABHI’s exclusive partnership with Informa Markets. Lauren will be instrumental in growing ABHI’s presence at global healthcare events, managing a portfolio of UK Pavilions and associated value-added engagements at multiple international shows.

These new team members will collaborate closely with ABHI’s established expert team, including Paul Benton, Michelle Michelucci, Nicola Hudson, and Elizabeth Yearwood. Together, they will continue to deliver the high-quality programmes and initiatives that ABHI is renowned for, ensuring that UK businesses receive the best possible support in their international endeavours.

Commenting on the new appointments, Paul Benton said, "We are incredibly proud of the strides we have made in strengthening our international team. The experience and expertise that Suzie, Sophie, and Lauren bring to ABHI will be pivotal in enhancing the support we provide to UK businesses as they explore and expand in global markets. Our commitment remains to offer the resources, connections, and guidance necessary to help our members achieve their export goals."

ABHI’s expanded team reflects the Association's ongoing commitment to supporting the international growth of UK businesses. Through its Accelerator programmes, exhibition presence, and other international initiatives, ABHI continues to provide essential services that enable UK companies to succeed on the global stage.
