Roger Greer

Interim Director of Government Affairs

Roger is ABHI's Interim Director of Government Affairs, a role he has held since November 2024 since his secondment from PLMR Healthcomms. 

He joined PLMR Healthcomms in February 2022, where he is Associate Director, supporting clients with public affairs, strategic engagement and advocacy campaigns. He is also a member of the Management Committee for the PLMR Group; and is the Group Head of Northern Ireland. 

Prior to PLMR, he spent three years at NHS Digital where he worked in Strategic Engagement, Public Affairs and International Relations. There he developed and maintained the organisation’s relationships with key stakeholders at home and abroad, and supported the Chair, Chief Executive, and Executive Directors in to develop and deliver strategic engagement activities, including preparation for Select Committee appearances.

Within his International Relations role at NHS Digital, Roger supported the development and delivery of digital health strands of UK Government international trade agreements; supported the delivery of UK Government strategic objectives in international trade and investment, particularly with Gulf States, India and low-and middle-income countries, including through the Better Health Programme; and supported countries to develop and deploy effective digital health strategies to support the better delivery of health and care for patients.

Roger graduated with a degree in Law (LLB Hons, Eng and Scots) from the University of Dundee in 2012, following which he worked at the Northern Ireland Assembly. He has also held roles in policy and events, specialising in policy relating to the devolved administrations, healthcare and economic development. He has also recently completed a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Public Affairs.
