
Doros Polydorou
Managing Director, STERIS Limited
As Managing Director of STERIS Instrument Processing, Doros is responsible for overseeing the delivery of medical device decontamination and sterilisation services from a network of over 35 sterile services and flexible endoscope processing facilities across EMEA – including 21 sites based in the UK.
Prior to this role, Doros held several senior operations positions within the information technology sector, before beginning a career in decontamination within the NHS at Northwick Park Hospital, London, in 2008.
Since then, he has remained actively involved in the medical device decontamination industry, working with Synergy Health in both director-level operational and commercial roles across the UK and EU, before transitioning to STERIS.
With a strong passion for improving patient care outcomes, Doros is committed to delivering high-quality services across both public and independent healthcare sectors. This includes a clear focus on the development of people and the integration of innovation and emerging technologies within the decontamination field. More recently, he has championed a business ethos centred on sustainability and social value, with a commitment to achieving carbon neutrality in line with the NHS Green Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Doros is an active member of the Institute of Decontamination Sciences, the Central Sterilising Club, and various Circular Economy and sustainability working groups.
