Biography & Career
Amy joined Johnson and Johnson in 2020 and is currently the Head of Government Affairs and Policy. Johnson and Johnson are one of the largest foreign direct investors in healthcare, and recently celebrated 100 years in the UK. The company has seven sites across the UK employing ~4,000.
In her role, Amy engages the UK central and local Governments, Parliaments and national policy making institutions related to key MedTech and corporate priorities, including advocating for sustainable healthcare system reform, driving data policies to ensure access and usability of data, enabling foreign direct investment and ensuring the environment in the UK further enables world-class life sciences and MedTech businesses to grow and thrive.
As a molecular biologist by training, Amy also brings an outstanding 30+ year career across both US and UK healthcare systems including clinical, R&D and diagnostics work, product management, surgical work, moving to strategy development, disease awareness, and finally government policy advocacy.
Amy currently serves as Co-chair on the Government’ Business Environment Board. She is a member of the Management Committee on the Medical Technology Group, and is as a mentor to upcoming entrepreneurs as part of Oxford Universities “Experts in Residence” programme.
