Reform Guest Blog: Making Sense of the Regulatory Landscape for Data-Driven Tech
It has now been five months since I took on the role of ABHI Digital Health Lead and everything they say about digital being fast moving is turning out to be true.
Turn your back for a moment and there is a new initiative, funding announcement or report addressing the issues and opportunities that arise from digital health. As such, I will be producing a regular 'Digital Dispatch' for Members who wish to be kept up to date with the latest events, news and opinion. The potential of digital health to shake-up healthcare is vast, however, as I detail in my latest opinion piece, a robust public dialogue on the issues around trust, ethics and data is sorely needed if we are to realise such ambitions.
The regulatory requirements for the different organisations participating at each stage of the digital process are therefore crucial, and as Reform's Research team highlight in this blog exclusive to ABHI, must provide clarity to innovators navigating the regulatory pathway.
Reform's work has also seen them produce some handy resources that tackle this area; very useful for those looking to understand the regulatory pipeline.
