MDR Implementation Letter - Your Signature Requested
Dear member,
We would like your help in supporting an important initiative from colleagues at MedTech Europe, who are inviting European business leaders* to co-sign a letter to national Ministers expressing concern over the implementation status of the MDR.
The letter can be found here. It stresses shared concerns, namely, the lack of notified body capacity under the MDR, and the very real risk this presents to the continued supply of products to patients. The letter calls for immediate action at European level to avoid a cliff edge scenario come May 2020.
Due to the pressing timelines, the letter is deliberately focussed on MDR. Similar activity will be taken to prompt IVDR related actions at the relevant point in time.
The deadline is 12:00pm, Thursday 18th July. If you are able to co-sign, please provide your name, job title and electronic signature to: richard.phillips@abhi.org.uk
ABHI will then send the letter as a single submission to MedTech Europe.
