NEWCO® Surgical is a part of New Co-ordinates Limited and supplies surgical instruments and accessories to leading public and private hospitals throughout the United Kingdom, as well as to general practitioners, chiropodists, dentists and veterinary surgeons. The Company operates from its headquarters in Birmingham and uses a network of agents to promote its products and services in the UK. 1999 marked the Company’s tenth year in business.
NEWCO ® Surgical is registered to apply CE marking to its products and holds ISO 9002 and EN 46000 accreditation. The company is recognised by its customers as a supplier of innovative products and bespoke solutions. In addition to a wide range of generic surgical instruments (forceps, dissectors, haemostats, needleholders, retractors, bi-polar scissors, diathermy, etc), the product range includes four unique items:
PHD6Kv Pinhole Detector - developed from similar applications within the coating industry and used to check the insulating coating on electrosurgical (diathermy) instruments for flaws in manufacture and damage acquired during routing use, cleaning and sterilising.
NEWCO™ List Generator - a package of computer software that helps with the identification and management of surgical instruments within sterilisation departments and operating theatres by producing tray lists in a pictorial form.
U-LOG - a simple card-shaped device with a counting matrix that is used to monitor surgical instruments and other items for which the manufacturer has recommended a limited number of re-usage cycles. U-LOG is made from a robust material that will withstand disinfection, machine washing and autoclaving, so that the item being monitored and its U-LOG can always be closely associated.
NOVA™ Label Generator - combines the features of U-LOG and the NEWCO™ List Generator to produce a single laminated label that can be mounted on a U-LOG. The label includes a picture of a selected surgical instrument, lines of text and an optional barcode. It will greatly assist the monitoring and maintenance of instruments that are ‘supplementary’ to routine procedure sets and items requiring ‘special’ attention.
