What We Do

ABHI Innovation Hub at the Dell Medical School

ABHI and the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin have established the "ABHI Innovation Hub".

The Hub offers UK companies the opportunity to locate themselves at a world-class facility and develop their US business within an ecosystem of clinicians, investors and mentors. It offers companies a compelling office location, providing them the infrastructure to focus on accelerating market access in Texas and beyond.

Positioned within an ecosystem of clinicians, investors and mentors, companies have access to:

  • CoLab facilities and office space
  • A powerful network of senior leaders
  • The Texas Health Catalyst programme
  • Tailored trade missions across the State
  • ABHI’s dedicated year-round support.

Through strong market intelligence, the guidance of our International Policy Group and close working relationships with the Department of International Trade, we have identified Texas as the ideal location for UK companies to develop their US operations.

A series of trade missions to Texas over the past two years has seen introductions and engagement with hospital and clinical leaders, including the US military as well as GPOs, distributors and professional business support organisations. We are making trading links easier and more accessible by forging deeper, more sustainable relationships for the MedTech community, between Texas and the UK.

The ABHI Innovation Hub is the next phase in this process and provides UK companies an unparalleled opportunity to drive operations within the US.

"We are very excited to be working with ABHI to strengthen ties between the UK and Austin across a variety of health and technology areas. We look forward to working with the ABHI, its members and the UK going forward."
